Profile Description

Were seeking someone to join our team as (Director) L3 DevOps & Linux Admin to ensure high level of service to customers via ticket systems outage bridges as well as maintain plant stability. It is also expected to liaise with Engineering counter parts for building patching creating scripts and help solve issues to maintain SLAs.

EnterpriseTechnology

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanleys software development lifecycle enabling productive coding functional and integration testing application releases and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop mobile voice video productivity intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable secure and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter network compute cloud storage and database functions.

Enterprise Computing (EC)

Enterprise Computingis a department ofCore Infrastructurethat provides a collection of products and services that make up the Morgan Stanley core compute infrastructure hosting platforms and supporting application services. Solutions are delivered across the infrastructure stack from foundational hardware platforms storage server operating systems and virtualization up through the hosting of common web database middleware and reporting services.

This is Director position that maintains the stability and reliability of the organizations infrastructure systems ensuring optimal performance and availability to support business operations.

What youll do in the role:

• Provide the highest level of support for Morgan Stanleys platform including on-call coverage.
• Work closely with the internal engineering team and provide input on testing of new component releases and infrastructure upgrades as well as performance capacity and monitoring
• Work together with other members of the global team support and engineering teams of other products and platforms to maintain support to our customer base.
• Create and improve processes for support including training documentation customer engagement scripting incident problem and change management

What youll bring to the role:

• At least 4 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
• Experience in Linux.
• Experience in Linux Container technologies
• Experience in Linux Troubleshooting.
• Sound knowledge of server Infrastructure Virtualization Containerization
• Experience with Agile and DevOps/SRE concepts
• Experience with monitoring architecture - monitoring agents dashboards alerts
• Experience with maintaining High-Availability production systems
• Experience in some scripting language used on Linux

Nice to have:

• Experience in enterprise-level hosting environments
• Experience with operating in large enterprise environments
• Understanding of infrastructure services like DNS DHCP NTP
• Understanding of internet and networking protocols including TCP/IP HTTP/HTTPS
