Job Summary
Elementary Cross-Categorical SPED Instructor
Join a team that believes in every childs potential! Were looking for a caring and passionate Special Education Teacher to guide a small K1 instructional classroom of approximately 10 students for the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress goals and classroom activities.
- Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and district standards.
- Maintain a positive structured classroom environment that promotes engagement consistency and independence.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the academic behavioral and social needs of students in a K1 Cross-Categorical setting.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers paraprofessionals and related service staff to support inclusive practices.

Requirements
- A passion for teaching early learners and supporting diverse needs.
- A degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).
- A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Experience in small-group or self-contained special education settings is a plus.
