Job Summary
The Planning/Scheduling Lead is responsible for providing direct support to operations group to help maintain objectives set out by Planning Supervisor. Oversee the Planning & Scheduling department daily and communicate issues to Planning Supervisor. P&S Lead should have wide understanding of processes within the department and great communication skills within Operations Sales and PMO teams.
- Training and onboarding new hires in the department.
- Oversee and ensure Planning and Scheduling team is meeting expectations on daily basis.
- Able to perform Scheduler duties and backup as needed.
- Capture processes of the planning and Scheduling department in RWI and AWIs.
- Able to backup Planning Supervisor for Job Order creation Revenue projections Contract Review and Customer order Blanket Release management.
- Provide information and feedback for employee reviews.
- Work with sales and production to maintain and update forecasted orders to meet demand.
- Maintain customer relations.
- Analyze root causes of operational malfunctions and provide resolutions.
- Handle escalated production issues and follow-up on outstanding issues promptly.
- Recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Track and monitor product and report to customer or operations.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
