Principal of Home School of Elementary Choir Coordinator
ROLE PURPOSE
The Elementary Choir Director provides leadership for the districts elementary choir program offering students in grades 45 the opportunity to participate in a high-quality competitive choral experience. This position supports the districts K12 choral program by fostering musical skill development teamwork and performance excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Music Education or related field (preferred).
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with appropriate music endorsement (preferred).
- Experience directing choirs or vocal ensembles preferably at the elementary level.
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire students and promote a love of music and performance.
ROLE DETAILS
- Advertise the elementary choir opportunity equitably across all elementary schools.
- Develop and implement a fair and consistent process for selecting students to participate in the choir.
- Plan and conduct weekly rehearsals to prepare students for performances and competitions.
- Coordinate and direct at least two public or competitive performances each school year.
- Collaborate with K12 choral staff to ensure alignment of instruction repertoire and program goals.
- Promote a positive inclusive and encouraging environment for all student participants.
- Communicate regularly with parents school staff and administrators regarding schedules events and expectations.
STIPEND DETAILS
Stipend will be paid in accordance with the BTCS Coaching and Miscellaneous Supplements pay schedule
