About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Associate to join our growing Building & Construction law team and focus mostly on front-end matters with exposure to back-end matters.

About the team

The Building & Construction team at Bartier Perry services a broad mix of clients including principals developers head contractors subcontractors and consultants across a wide range of sectors.

In this role you will work across a range of building and construction matters with a strong focus on front-end advisory alongside a highly supportive team and partners. Day-to-day you will be involved in:

  • Drafting reviewing and negotiating construction contracts;
  • Providing ongoing project delivery advice; and
  • A variety of dispute resolution processes including court litigation expert determinations and arbitrations.

About you

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • 3 to 5 years PAE with a focus on front-end building and construction law matters. Familiarity with back-end matters will be highly advantageous
  • Experience in assisting with the preparation and negotiation of standard form and bespoke construction related contracts
  • A commercially astute and client focused approach
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong research and troubleshooting methods
  • Excellent time management and ability to work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Eagerness to participate in business development and marketing initiatives
