This Position reports to:
District Sales ManagerIn this role you will have the opportunity to bring new business opportunities and improve the existing ones by supporting the Sales organization with relevant knowledge of products and markets. Each day you will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in your assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in sales strategy discussions for the assigned area agreements on short-term and long-term goals and negotiation of the division sales budget.
The work model for the role is: hybrid (#Li-Hybrid) in Houston TX with 15% travel across the Gulf Coast.
Your role and responsibilities:
Creating the division sales plans for the area in coordination with the Sales organization and teams.
Analyzing the customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and the information provided by the Sales organization.
Ensuring efficient marketing actions (e.g. product launches) and communications to the Sales organization and customers communicating the value proposition of the products systems services and packages provided by the company.
Supporting the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions as well as in the preparation of competitive/strategic offers.

Qualifications for the role:
Engineering degree preferred (or its equivalent work experience relating to leading a project team developing creative technical solutions and building customer relationships
8 years of experience (experience in electrical distribution products systems & solutions within the electrical industry particularly around complex commercial construction healthcare data center & water/waste water segments preferred.)
Possess an enhanced knowledge of complex switchgear solutions building relationships & trust with high level & C-suite customers leading a team of salespeople/account managers.
You are passionate about developing solutions to complex problems coaching and leading others building relationships with customers and partners.
You are at ease communicating to large groups engineers contractors internal/external groups and have mastered/are working to master professional email and written communication.
You hold current drivers license valid in TX and candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
