Job Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager Operations the Patient Access Operations Lead will have the responsibility for providing administrative support in addition to project work such as scheduling and registration within Revenue Cycle workflows for the management of the department. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan prioritize and organize diversified workload.
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of various departments.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the application Screensteps in a timely manner.
- Responsible for establishing positive relationships with various clinic practice managers and MEE Call Center leadership.
- Collaborate with MEE Call Center leadership to ensure staff feedback related to Screensteps is reviewed and action taken.
- Work closely with Patient Access Supervisors and ED Scheduler to ensure timely scheduling of patients needing follow up care.
- Answer incoming calls from and make outgoing calls to patients needing to schedule follow up care.
- Review reports and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Responsible for processing internal physician referrals in Epic.
- Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone e-mail and mail.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associates Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Experience
Experience in patient access services healthcare operations or revenue cycle management 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proven leadership experience including managing teams and driving performance improvement.
- Strong knowledge of patient access processes revenue cycle management insurance verification and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems patient scheduling and registration software.
- Excellent communication leadership problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
