Are you an accounting professional looking to grow your skills in a close-knit client-focused environment
Our Bridgewater-based client is seeking an Accounting Technician to join their small and dedicated team in a permanent full-time role.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Prepare public tax returns (T1s personal) and compilation engagements
- Provide support on a review engagement client
- Perform general bookkeeping for a small portfolio of clients
- Provide administrative support including answering phones and preparing client packages
- Work with clients and senior team members to maintain accurate timely financial information
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in accounting or bookkeeping
- Previous experience in public practice is preferred; strong general bookkeeping/accounting experience will also be considered
- CPA in progress is welcome but not required
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online Caseware Profile and Sage50
- Detail-oriented professional and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a small team environment
- Friendly and client-focused willing to assist with administrative tasks as needed
