Position Overview
The Account Executive is responsible for building new business nurturing client relationships and delivering solutions that help organizations thrive. This individual enjoys networking uncovering opportunities and fostering meaningful partnerships grounded in trust and collaboration.
Essential Functions
Identify and close new business opportunities.
Uncover customer challenges and present multi-category solutions that drive positive outcomes.
Actively listen and ask strategic questions to understand client needs.
Work collaboratively with internal team members to meet customer expectations.
Participate in community or philanthropic initiatives as desired.
Develop annual and quarterly strategies in partnership with the Sales Director.
Leverage subject-matter experts to assist in delivering profitable solutions.
Build strong long-lasting relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Support customers with ordering processes in coordination with service teams.
Investigate and resolve customer concerns when necessary.
Maintain customer retention targets within assigned accounts.
Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
Meet or exceed defined sales and activity goals.
Use CRM tools for prospecting account management activity tracking and forecasting.
Complete required activity expectations including business reviews client visits and pipeline updates.
Utilize reports and tools to track performance and uncover new opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
Self-motivated with proven ability to source develop and close new business.
Proficiency in PowerPoint Excel and Outlook (or willingness to develop proficiency).
Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Results-oriented and driven by financial and career growth.
Knowledge of products pricing competition and sales objectives preferred.
Ability to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
Relevant industry experience is a plus.
