Were looking for a sharp execution-driven Design Managerto join our Merchant team at Wolt. This team builds self-serve scalable tools for our merchants across 23 countriesdelivering new 01 products that empower partners to onboard grow and succeed todays rapidly evolving product landscape were not looking for someone to simply managewere looking for someone to lead from the front.

This role is ideal for someone whos equally comfortable driving strategy and jumping into the work who can inspire their team under pressure and who sees ambiguity as an opportunity not a blocker.

This role is based in our tech hub in Berlin or Stockholm.

Your Impact

• Build and Lead: Youll lead the design team within the Merchant areabuilding the strategy shaping execution and mentoring a high-performing team.
• Raise the Bar: Set and uphold a high bar for design quality velocity and craft. Not just in pixelsbut in product thinking clarity of storytelling and interaction polish.
• Drive Strategy: Collaborate with group leads and product counterparts to define what we should buildnot just how to build it.
• Move the Work: Guide the team through ambiguous 01 spaces. Youll help cut through noise unblock delivery and bring strategic ideas to life through rapid execution.
• Coach and Elevate: Develop and grow designers through hands-on feedback career support and performance management. Youll create an environment that pushes for both craft and pace.
• Leverage AI: Harness the power of AI to accelerate design exploration enhance user insights and increase execution velocity. Youll empower the team to use AI as a creative and strategic partneroptimizing workflows uncovering new opportunities and driving smarter data-informed decisions.
• Act with Urgency: Youll work autonomously drive change proactively and prioritize impact over process. You understand that velocity is strategy.

Our humble expectations

• 3 years of experience leading design teams in product-led organizations ideally in SaaS platform or marketplace environments
• A sharp eye for detail and deep appreciation for high-quality user-centered design
• A track record of building and shipping B2B or consumer tools across platforms (desktop mobile)
• The ability to shape vision and drive executioncomfortable setting direction and rolling up your sleeves
• Proven leadership in high-ambiguity fast-paced environments
• Strong storytelling cross-functional influence and stakeholder management skills
• Experience designing for or applying AI in product workflows
• A mindset of urgency experimentation and continuous improvement
