About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking an experienced Allied Health Manager to lead our dedicated Allied Health Team. This is a 10-month maximum term contract to cover maternity leave starting in January 2026 based at our Pimlico campus working full-time hours Monday to Friday.
In this pivotal leadership role you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all allied health clinical support services. This includes oversight of key areas such as inpatient care cardiac rehabilitation services rehabilitation and outpatient programs. Youll play a vital role in driving excellence in patient outcomes and fostering a collaborative high-performing team culture. This role also forms part of Mater Townsvilles Senior Leadership team.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
What youll be doing
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services The Allied Health Manager will oversee the strategic and operational management of allied health services at Mater Hospital Townsville including inpatient and outpatient care. The role involves collaborating with the Senior Leadership team ensuring best practice patient care operational effectiveness and strong stakeholder partnerships. Responsibilities include direct line management for planning organisation and delivery of allied health services managing a team of diverse professionals within the Allied Health Department.
About you
To be successful in the role you must hold a tertiary qualification in one of the Allied Health professions - Dietetics Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Psychology Speech Pathology Exercise Physiology Social Work and current registration or be eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or accreditation / membership with relevant Allied Health professional association or body.
