Job Summary

Job Summary

The Program Administrator supports the development of programs by researching
community needs stewarding established partnerships and working with subject matter
experts. They develop and revise programming in consultation with academic and
administrative departments. The Administrator provides input on new programming to
respond to community and labour market needs; liaises with community stakeholders and
organizations to identify and develop course and program ideas.

The Administrator works to support instructors ensuring instructor training resources and
supports are available providing coaching and mentoring and recommending professional
development opportunities. They also manage instructor related issues that require special
attention such as timesheets payroll contract questions and oversee instructor
recruitment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Adult Education Education Business Administration or a suitable related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution required.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in education instructional/curriculum design or training program planning development implementation and evaluation including conducting training needs assessments.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience teaching or training adult learners.
  • Completion of an adult education or teaching-related credential (Provincial Instructor diploma or Workplace Education certificate).
  • Demonstrated experience directing community-based or multi-stakeholder activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry business and community resources.
  • Experience in supporting entrepreneurial and revenue-generating activities.
  • Experience in developing and deploying marketing and external communications strategies.
  • Experience planning and proactively monitoring budgets.
  • Thorough knowledge of the post-secondary environment and continuing education structure and mandate.
  • Relationship management and working cooperatively with other internal units and external community groups.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent research and data use abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet imposed deadlines.
  • Writing and reviewing contracts for service agreements.
  • Dynamic creative self-motivated professional personable and organized with a high attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently while always exercising good judgment.
  • Superior technology skills including the advanced use of MS Office Suite Learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilizing commonly used student information registration and finance systems. (Blackboard preferred) Video-conferencing tools Social Media platforms Financial and Asset Management software (FAST preferred) and Student Information Systems (Banner).
