Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing advanced financial analysis forecasting and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the organization. This role involves analyzing financial data developing financial models and preparing comprehensive reports to guide business planning and performance evaluation. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial efficiency and supporting the companys financial goals.What youll bring to Zelis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Analyze financial statements key performance indicators (KPIs) and other financial metrics to identify trends and variances.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to improve business performance.
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
Collaborate with department heads to gather input and assumptions for financial forecasts and budgets.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis.
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial performance and key metrics.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial analysis and modeling.
Evaluate potential investments projects and business opportunities through financial analysis.
Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategies.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations company policies and accounting standards.
Assist in the identification and mitigation of financial risks.
Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
What youll bring to Zelis:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis financial planning and analysis (FP&A) or a related field.
Proven experience in developing financial models and conducting complex financial analysis.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CFA CPA or other relevant financial certification preferred.
