Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team supporting a leading BPO client in Egypt. This role is critical in safeguarding our IT infrastructure ensuring compliance with data security protocols and protecting sensitive information against internal and external threats. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cybersecurity practices and a hands-on approach to managing security systems in a high-demand operational environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring & Incident Response:Monitor security systems and networks in real-time to detect investigate and respond to potential threats or incidents.
- Security Infrastructure Management:Deploy configure and maintain cybersecurity tools including firewalls antivirus software intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and SIEM solutions.
- Audits & Risk Assessment:Perform periodic security audits risk assessments and gap analyses to ensure the environment complies with internal policies and industry standards.
- Policy Enforcement & Data Protection:Enforce data privacy and protection protocols across networks endpoints and systems in line with international compliance frameworks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with IT and operations teams to integrate and maintain cybersecurity best practices across all organizational levels.
- Training & Awareness:Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for staff and provide ongoing support to improve user behavior and reduce human-related vulnerabilities.
- Threat Intelligence & Continuous Improvement:Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity trends vulnerabilities and best practices; proactively recommend tools and strategies to strengthen defenses.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity role preferably within a BPO or IT services environment.
In-depth knowledge of network security endpoint protection threat detection and incident response.
Experience with SIEM tools vulnerability scanners firewalls and antivirus software.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 NIST GDPR and data protection laws.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to security incidents.
Must be currently based in Egypt and available to join immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Certifications such as:
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
CompTIA Security
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Experience working in 24/7 operational or high-availability environments.
