Job Summary (List Format):
- Take full ownership of an existing cloud-native application on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) primarily using App Engine and Data Store.
- Collaborate with the current resource to understand system architecture workflows data pipelines integrations and dependencies.
- Maintain and enhance Python-based application workflows ensuring code quality scalability and performance.
- Design develop and optimize data queries and analytics with BigQuery for reporting and insights.
- Manage deployments monitoring and troubleshooting of the application in GCP.
- Identify and implement architectural improvements cost optimizations and automation opportunities.
- Ensure application uptime reliability and performance including support for production incidents.
- Serve as the main point of accountability for the application communicating with stakeholders business users and technical teams.
- Utilize strong hands-on experience with GCP services (App Engine Data Store/Firestore BigQuery).
- Apply proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.
- Analyze and document existing systems and propose enhancements.
- Leverage strong problem-solving troubleshooting communication and collaboration skills.
- (Preferred) Experience with GCP IAM Cloud Functions Cloud Storage Pub/Sub DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- (Preferred) Background in application ownership/transition including knowledge transfer from existing teams.
