Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation processing auditing and reconciliation of a multi-site multi-cycle multi-currency payroll for a large employee population. This role partners with internal teams and external vendors to resolve inquiries related to wages deductions and banking while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll adjustments deductions and reconciliations; review time records perform tax calculations and execute payroll interfaces.
Conduct payroll audits and correct discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
Collaborate with HR management and payroll partners to support compensation initiatives and consistent process adherence.
Analyze payroll variances validate final reports and prepare required tax withholdings garnishments and benefit-related payments.
Produce payments including checks ACH and international transfers; work with banking partners to ensure accurate and timely distribution.
Research and resolve payroll inquiries and wage disputes in partnership with internal departments.
Support internal and external payroll audits and maintain compliance with retention and reporting requirements.
Ensure accurate record keeping and assist with system updates maintenance and process improvements.
Contribute to team goals and complete related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of payroll experience in a high-volume or complex payroll environment
Experience working with large data sets preferred
Experience with Lawson or similar HR/payroll systems preferred
Strong accuracy attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Access preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
CPP certification preferred
Ability to work hybrid in Miami
Comfortable working in a temporary role

Compensation & Benefits:

$23.00/hour paid weekly on Fridays.
