This role will involve acting as a liaison between the IT organization and business partners to analyze business issues define requirements and design solutions supporting a statewide Case Management System modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis requirements elicitation API integration and Agile methodologies with a passion for technology-driven process improvement.

Job Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst

Location: Atlanta GA (On-site)

Duration: 8 Months
Job Description:

Act as a liaison between IT and business partners to analyze business issues and define requirements.

Develop requirements documentation including use case narratives diagrams functional and non-functional requirements.

Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Collaborate with API developers to define service calls formats and data content for endpoints.

Create clear concise and comprehensive data flow diagrams using Lucidchart.

Explain complex data flows to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Develop workflow charts process flow diagrams and user story maps.

Create and maintain user stories in JIRA and manage project milestones.

Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure compliance with business objectives.

Facilitate customer and project meetings to gather validate and prioritize requirements.

Document system processes user guides and training materials.

Work on multiple moderate to complex projects simultaneously within development environments.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of IT Business Analyst experience.

5 years of experience identifying and gathering business and functional requirements for complex software solutions.

5 years of experience with software development methodologies such as Agile Scrum and Waterfall.

3 years of experience collaborating with API developers and defining API service calls.

3 years of experience creating data flow diagrams and screen designs using Lucidchart.

Strong experience acting as a liaison between business partners and development teams.

Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work on-site 5 days a week and travel up to 10% as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in state or local government particularly with the Georgia Criminal Justice System.

Advanced experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL certification.

Proficiency in Lucidchart and JIRA tools.
