POSITION OPENING: Head Varsity Boys Football Coach Inspire and Empower Young Athletes!

POSITION: BOYS HEAD VARSITY FOOTBALL COACH
LOCATION: AVONDALE HIGH SCHOOL
REPORTS TO: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
DATE NEEDED: 1/2026
HOURS: 10-20 HOURS PER WEEK

JOB GOAL: To provide instruction of high school athletes in the fundamental skills and strategy of footballand also instill moral values pride of accomplishment acceptable social behavior self-discipline and self-confidence

WHAT WE NEED:

Experience Coaching football
Experience orplan of building a K-12 football program
Knowledge/experience scheduling practices and off season workouts
Teach techniques and fundamentals of sport
Be able to demonstrate all skills necessary for the sport
Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of the sport
Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used
Conduct structured practices that stay within the confines of the specified times at the Athletic Department
Be an example ofgood character and sportsmanship to team at all times
Conduct fundraisers to provide money for team supplies and needs

WHAT YOU NEED:
1. Works cooperatively with administrators students parents and community.
2. Ability to lead organize and supervise all aspects of the football program.
ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership excellent communication skills and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the high school football program including player development staff supervision practice organization and coordination with lower-level programs.
5. Develop a positive team culture focused on sportsmanship accountability and academic success.
player safety and adherence to district league and MHSAA policies.
offseason conditioning strength training and skill development programs.
8. Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property.
9. Maintains professional competence.
10. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
