We are hiring Clinical Nurse Manager Tissue Viability for a leading hospital in DublinIreland.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert assessment planning delivery and evaluation of care for patients with tissue viability conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings exercising a high level of autonomy and clinical decision-making.
- Continuously monitor patient outcomes adjusting nursing practice to ensure optimal coordination and quality of care.
- Demonstrate leadership vision and innovation in nursing practice while developing and evaluating the role of the Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist.
- Work collaboratively with medical nursing and allied health professionals to coordinate investigations treatment plans discharge processes and continuity of care.
- Develop implement and update evidence-based policies procedures and best practices within the tissue viability service.
- Promote dignity autonomy and well-being of patients; act as their advocate within the multidisciplinary team; and facilitate access to specialist advocacy services.
- Provide professional leadership in education by developing facilitating and evaluating training programmes for patients families nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams in line with NMBIs Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics (2025).
- Liaise with the Nurse Practice Development Unit to promote best practices support continuous professional development and deliver ward-based teaching and induction for new staff.
- Lead audit and research initiatives to evaluate and improve tissue viability services disseminate findings and ensure evidence-based practice aligned with HIQA and JCI standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation clinical activity records and service reports; provide quarterly updates to QPRS; and conduct After Action Reviews (AARs) to identify learnings and enhance management of Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries (HAPI).
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible to register with NMBI.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within the last 7 years.
- Hold a formal recognised post-registration qualification relevant to the area of specialist practice at Level 9 (Graduate Diploma or Honours Degree).
- Management experience desirable but not essential.
- Experience working in a multi-professional environment.
- Strong IT skills are essential.
