Whats the role
Westpac is delivering a multi-phase program to implement Planview as its strategic project and portfolio management (PPM) platform replacing legacy systems. The initiative will simplify and enhance governance delivery execution and strategic investment planning.
The initial delivery focuses on core project delivery capabilities and system integrations followed by uplifts to resource management Agile delivery capabilities and financial management.
The Product Owner represents the business within a structured phased (Waterfall) delivery environment ensuring outcomes meet business needs align with strategy and deliver stakeholder value.
Note: This is not an Agile Product Owner role. The position operates within a structured delivery framework focusing on scope business requirements decision-making and benefits realisation rather than backlog management or sprint execution.
Working closely with stakeholders Business Analysts and delivery teams the Product Owner defines and prioritises business needs provides direction and approvals through each project phase and ensures the solution delivers measurable business value.
