About the Project
The Southern Program Alliance is contracted by Victorian Government to remove most dangerous and congested level crossings. This is a critical infrastructure project with significant public impact.
Work on a high-profile infrastructure project as part of a global team using continuous improvement methodology and innovative technology which enable us to leave a genuine legacy.
The Position
Under guidance of the Alliance Survey Manager the Project Surveyor Lead will contribute to the Delivery team objectives within the Southern Program Alliance and all project sites in accordance with the specific project scope and milestones.
The Project Survey Lead will provide effective set out and survey for the project and ensure that all works conform to the Project Drawings Specifications and Australian Standards as directed by the Alliance Survey Manager or Senior Site Management.
To be successful in this role the Project Survey Lead will continually demonstrate the core behaviours of a high performing team providing regular communication and support within the team and across the Alliance stakeholders and sub-contractors.
Responsibilities
- Ensures non-conformances are reported to the Alliance Survey Manager/Senior Site Management for their guidance and direction
- Actions all reasonable requests from the Alliance Survey Manager/Senior Site Management in a timely manner
- Correctly interprets specifications plans and digital models
- Establish the project set out and updates records to reflect contract requirements
- Calibrates and maintains Survey Equipment to required manufacturer standards.
- Participates in preparing re-designs as required by the project team
- Implements ACCIONA Survey Procedures during the course of the survey works for the project duration
- Becomes familiar with current knowledge of the latest plant equipment materials and construction techniques
- Assists in the inter-relationship between the various trades and ensures that subcontractors works are completed as requested in a timely manner
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
- Prepare & deliver project status reports and change orders in accordance with specific timeframes
- Provide as built/monitoring reports to nominated document management portal as soon as practicable
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary Qualification in relevant discipline
- 5 years experience within a project surveying role on a major project in civil or rail infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
- 12D (Model Field and Synergy) experience desirable
- Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 Suite specifically Excel
- Understanding of point cloud capture registration and extraction or a willingness to learn
- Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
