Our Hardware Platforms and Accessories Team is seeking a Digital/Embedded Hardware Engineer. You would be responsible for creating testing integrating and maintaining hardware designs for tactical radios. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a responsibility of all our team members as is the ambition for self-improvement and talent development. The essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Develops system and module level requirements and specifications.
• Designs and simulates digital circuits and systems including associated analog and power circuits
• Creates required design documentation.
• Verifies and Validates product performance through debug test and analysis at the component module and system level.
• Leads small project teams mentors junior engineers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.

Education and work experience requirements are:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field of study required.
• At least 5-7 years overall experience in designing products with significant digital hardware content.

To be considered for this position you would need to meet at a minimum the knowledge skills and abilities listed here:

• Good understanding of Microprocessors Microcontrollers SOCs Programmable Logic and Memory.
• Working knowledge of associated analog and power hardware such as audio/video and SMPS circuits
• Knowledge of high-speed busses such as LPDDR PCIe USB Ethernet.
• Knowledge of low-speed peripheral busses such as SPI I2C SMBus
• Proficiency in software tools of the trade: Schematic Capture PCB layout Digital Timing Simulators Signal Integrity Simulators
• Experience designing for manufacturability and test
• Demonstrates documentation skills and proficiency with PC office applications.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.
• Strong initiative proactive work ethic and prioritization skills.
• Trustable judgement and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective execution and decision making.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individuals geographic location in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego CA area. The pay range for this position is: $00 annually.
