CMADC is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team as a Referral Coordinator. The referral coordinator will perform a wide range of administrative duties including referral processing patient registrationverification of benefits insurance authorizations patient appointment scheduling andcommunication with referral sources.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the tracking coordination and communication of patient referrals.
- Ensure complete and accurate patient registration including demographics and currentinsurance information.
- Handle requests from third party referral sources and provide relevant information and data.
- Serve as point person for multidisciplinary evaluation process to include patientscheduling third party communications and internal communications.
- Assemble information concerning patients clinical background and referral needs.
- Contact insurance companies to ensure verification of benefits and prior authorizationapproval requirements are met.
- Review details and expectation of referral with the potential patient.
- Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
- Communicate with referral sources to ensure patient information/registration iscomplete.
- Communicate patient updates between program and referring source.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with Electronic Health Record
- Strong customer service focus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork orientation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Able to take and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability
