Practice Description:

• Location: Saginaw MI
• Clinical (0.7 FTE): Regular inpatient day shifts with integrated teaching of students and residents
• Administrative (0.3 FTE): Leadership duties committee participation and program oversight
• Blend of clinical care with administrative leadership serving as a key liaison between the hospital medicine team administration and other departments.
• Provide and manage direct inpatient care for Internal Medicine patients
• Supervise mentor and evaluate residents and medical students in both clinical and hospital settings
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and monitor quality safety and performance metrics
• Serve as liaison between Hospital Medicine hospital administration and other departments to enhance care delivery and operational efficiency
• Participate in recruitment orientation and professional development of hospitalist providers
• Support educational programs conferences and curriculum development within the residency and medical education framework
• Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary meetings

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM)
• Eligible for Michigan medical licensure and faculty appointment with a College of Medicine
• Demonstrated leadership teaching and communication skills
• Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations
