What Will You Do
As a Nursery Care Attendant at Pine Rest youll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and Nursery Care Attendant will provide nurturing care to infants and support to mothers in the Mother and Baby Program. The Nursery Care Attendant assists in the overall program activities provides developmentally appropriate childcare and provides mothers with support of the mother and baby relationship. The Nursery Care Attendant is responsible for planning organizing implementing and coordinator services of the nursery exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated. The Nursery Care Attendant isdedicated to excellent customer service enthusiastic about the care we offer and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides a clean safe and fun child care environment.
Ensures safe play conditions and follows established security procedures.
Observes specific parent directions for feeding nap times and special needs.
Orients parents regarding policies and procedures of child care center and maintains positive rapport with all parents and patrons.
Develops and implements activities for the children and attentively watches and attends to the children.
Treats children if injured and completes accident reports; reports to parents supervisor.
Handles complaints and comments and refers comments to proper personnel.
Performs duties and responsibilities in compliance with appropriate early childhood development or child care guidelines/instructions.
Maintains clean environment; performs light housekeeping duties as required or assigned to include sanitizing toys and equipment and arranging pickup and drop off of nursery laundry.
Order and maintain nursery supplies.
Reports mother-baby interactions to the team.
Responsible to role model the mission and values of the organization presenting a professional image that is projected in appearance attitudes and behaviors time management and communication skills. Provides spiritual emotional social mental and physical support to patients.
What Does This Role Require
High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of childcare experience.
