The Role
This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of produce sales to insure satisfactory sales and profits for the company. You will be responsible for the Missoula/Kalispell Montana Region. Addressing the needs and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. This includes assigned customers as well as the accounts of other company salespersons.
Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To
- Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets and growing conditions.
- Make presentations of profitable programs to potential and existing customers.
- Notify and assist buyers operations and sales support persons by communication of customers needs and preferences.
- Maintain effective professional relationships with restaurant owners retailers vendors and fellow employees.
- Organize and aid with special sales and promotions.
- Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well-being of the company.
- Responsible for individual accounts sales and gross profit.
- Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut off times.
- Responsible for processing and turning in credit memos responsibility forms and other job-related paperwork within the set time lines.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience
- 1 years of work experience in food sales OR as a chef.
- Must have thorough knowledge and expertise of produce commodities and be capable of providing expert consulting to current and potential customers.
- Excellent interpersonal human relations emotional intelligence and teaming skills.
- Accuracy with paperwork figures with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent follow-through.
- The ability to work well independently and be self-driven.
- Literate in MS Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license auto insurance and safe driving record.
- Ability to use your own vehicle as transportation to client sites. (All mileage will be reimbursed at the federal level)
- Exceptional phone skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2 years business-to-business outside sales experience in the produce grocery or restaurant industry.
- Have a proven track record of strong sales and customer relations
