Since 2009 weve been a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to creating a community where dignity inclusion and accountability guide everything we do.
Were looking for a Regional Emergency Shelter Team (REST) Director to join our team in Yuba City CA. This part-time role is an incredible opportunity to lead our seasonal Winter Shelter operations and foster year-round community engagement. What Youll Do: Key Responsibilities
As our REST Director youll play a pivotal role in ensuring our mission thrives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Winter Shelter Operations: Oversee logistics manage volunteers and staff and coordinate with local churches and agencies for the DecemberApril Winter Shelter Program.
- Building Community Connections: Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners donors churches and volunteers year-round.
- Driving Fundraising Efforts: Spearhead initiatives like our annual LUAU fundraiser and ongoing donor development to support our mission.
- Managing Daily Operations: Handle communications grant writing organizational reporting and financial controls.
- Collaborating with Leadership: Provide strategic updates to the Board of Directors and guide staff toward achieving program goals.
- Fostering a Positive Environment: Uphold RESTs core values of dignity inclusion accountability and service to others in everything you do.
What Were Looking For: Skills & Qualifications
Were seeking a dedicated individual who embodies integrity initiative and emotional intelligence. Heres what were looking for:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience required. Nonprofit management or program coordination experience (5 years) highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management Business Finance or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms and experience in event planning and fundraising preferred.
- Other Requirements: Reliable transportation a valid drivers license and insurance.
