Position Title: Assistant High School Wrestling Coach
Reports To: Head Wrestling Coach & Activities Director
Location: Ogden Community Schools
Position Overview:
The Assistant Wrestling Coach supports the Head Coach in developing and leading a successful wrestling program that promotes skill development teamwork sportsmanship and personal growth. This position plays a vital role in fostering a positive athletic experience for student-athletes while upholding the mission and values of Ogden Community Schools.

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices drills and workouts.
• Provide instruction and constructive feedback to student-athletes to build skills physical conditioning and knowledge of the sport.
• Supervise athletes before during and after practices meets and team events.
• Promote discipline good sportsmanship respect and team unity at all times.
• Support the Head Coach in preparing for competitions including scouting opponents and developing match strategies.
• Maintain positive professional communication with athletes parents coaches and school staff.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and respond appropriately to injuries or emergencies.
• Attend all scheduled practices matches team meetings and required coaching clinics.
• Comply with all school district and state athletic association policies and guidelines.

• Prior wrestling experience as a coach or athlete preferred.
• Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
• Strong communication organizational and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of wrestling techniques conditioning and safety procedures.
• Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching License required.
• Completion of state-mandated Concussion Training (up to date).
• Commitment to the goals of the athletic program and the academic success of student-athletes.

• Seasonal position during the wrestling season.
• Includes evenings weekends practices competitions and occasional travel.
