Job description
The successful candidate will provide strategic and academic leadership ensuring excellence in teaching learning and assessment across the IGCSE and IBDP programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator who is passionate about language education curriculum innovation and developing confident articulate and culturally aware learners.
Background
Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science was founded with the strong support of the Wuxi local government through a partnership between two world-leading schools Nanjing Foreign Language School China and Kings College School Wimbledon UK all of whom aimed to build a school of the future which focuses on providing well-rounded education. It opened in September 2018 with 750 pupils and has a current enrollment of just under 2000 students. Job requirements
About you
Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred
Strong academic background e.g. one of the following:
CELTA/DELTA
Language degree AND formal EAL qualification
Relevant degree
Excited about teaching EAL learners throughout the age-range we offer (G10-12)
7 years of good quality post-qualification experience including IGCSE EAL
Able to demonstrate high level of student progress for a wide range of EAL learners
Able to demonstrate a rigorous approach to planning and assessment
Ability to collaborate establish rapport and communicate in a Dual Language Immersion environment/multi-cultural contexts
Skills in using data to inform teaching and learning
