Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes to lift and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Inspect crane equipment and components daily to ensure proper functioning.
- Interpret load charts and follow lift plans provided by site engineers.
- Communicate clearly with riggers and signal persons to coordinate lifts.
- Maintain accurate records of crane operations and inspections.
- Comply with OSHA and company safety standards at all times.
- Assist with minor crane maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Support other site activities when crane operations are not required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating cranes in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of crane load charts rigging practices and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at heights.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating multiple types of cranes (e.g. tower crawler hydraulic).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Familiarity with Austin Commercials safety and operational standards.
