The Value Stream Director will define and drive the technology strategy and technology roadmap for the Finance and Procurement Value Stream within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This role ensures alignment with business strategy and objectives and optimized delivery across JM Family Enterprises.
This role requires technical expertise and strategic leadership to drive value while fostering collaboration among technology teams product and platform teams business partners and 3rd party providers. The leader will champion end-to-end ownership strengthen relationships with business leaders while ensuring the value stream technology portfolio aligns with enterprise standards and business goals. Additionally the role includes managing financial budgets and actuals projections and conducting ROI analysis to maximize technology investments. As a hands-on leader this leader will be pivotal in advancing JM Familys technology vision and cultivating a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Develop and communicate a technology strategy that aligns with business objectives with a focus on Finance Enabling & Procurement Technology and supporting business systems/functions to drive the strategic goals
Inspire and lead teams to execute on the vision ensuring accountability and optimal value and quality of delivery
Partner with ITS and Business Leadership to mobilize ITS strategic objectives and performance
Partner with technology peers and our ITS community to be effective in the Technology trusted advisor role with our business
Ensure systems and development comply with ITS architecture security and operational standards
Oversee agile teams (developers testers architects operations) promoting effective collaboration delivery excellence while supporting end-to-end systems and high-quality solutions
Lead your area workforce strategy to enable the value stream through people process and technology; Align talent planning and development with emerging capabilities skills and best practices
Create a culture of continuous learning innovation ownership and autonomy providing resources and support for team success
Work with the Product Manager to align platform & product roadmaps with ITS requirements and reduce technical debt
Co-Develops a long-term platform strategy (up to 5 years) with business partners and IT partners
Serve as an escalation point for issues actively resolving risks that hinder progress or interrupt services
Accountable for technology resiliency to support business continuity
Partner with Business and ITS to build Vendor Partner relation and performance management optimize spend and contractual investments
Stay connected and well-informed on emerging technologies and industry trends integrating insights into strategy and business solutions
Lead financial planning integrating cost-saving opportunities to optimize ITS portfolio value
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Security or related field (masters preferred)
15 years of experience in technology service delivery with significant experience in application development data and analytics and digital business enablement
Minimum 3 years of director-level leadership experience
5 years of experience leading application development teams with expertise in cloud-native platforms tools and practices
3 years of managing IT financials and capital budgets business case development
Demonstrated knowledge of FinOps consumption & services-based cost model
Demonstrate knowledge of ERP systems and/or Procurement platforms & solutions
Experience in deploying Microsoft Azure technologies preferred
Experience in People Leadership & Development Executive Presence Transformation Leadership
Proven ability to define and execute technology strategy and architecture with expertise in long-term (5-year) strategic planning
Must demonstrate forward-thinking leadership and strong product management skills to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Strong technical acumen in Microsoft Azure Platform DevSecOps GitHub AI ML Automation SDLC CI/CD
Experience in working across multiple technology domains such as Technology Infrastructure & Operations Cyber Security Operations and InfoSec standards Cloud Technology Enterprise Architecture and Quality Assurance
