Role Responsibilities

• Deliverperformance testing solutionsto a range of clients ensuring systems are scalable reliable and performant.
• Design implement and executeperformance test strategies including load stress scalability and endurance testing.
• Work closely withtechnical teams and stakeholders translating business requirements into testable solutions.
• Contribute to functional test automation (e.g. using Selenium Cypress Playwright) and ensure alignment between functional and non-functional testing efforts.
• Adopt a shift-left approach by designing and implementing performance tests at the API component and integration levels not just at the UI/E2E level.
• Engage directly with clients providingexpert adviceon performance test best practices.
• Collaborate with development DevOps and infrastructure teams toidentify performance bottlenecksand optimise system performance.
• Utilise performance testing tools such asJMeter K6 LoadRunner NeoLoad or Gatling.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on test results to drivecontinuous improvements.

What Were Looking For

• SDET with experience as a Performance Tester ideally in a consultancy or client-facing environment.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g. Java Python C# or JavaScript/TypeScript) for writing clean maintainable test code and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge ofperformance testing methodologies tools and scripting. But equally happy with functional test automation
• Ability to engage withcustomers technical teams and stakeholdersto deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Experience in cloud-based and distributed system performance testing.
• A true engineer in test mindset: able to build custom tools write high-quality test code and participate in technical design and code reviews.
• Knowledge ofmonitoring and diagnostics toolssuch as AppDynamics Dynatrace Datadog or New Relic.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrable experience in building E2E functional automation frameworks in addition to a primary focus on performance testing.
