Job Summary

Position: Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Columbia MD #HYBRID
Duration: 12Months Contract to hire
In-Person Interview required
Rate: $60/hr

Job Description:

Infrastructure System Engineer:- Designing present and future features of AWS System Defines and develops system requirements.
Performs trade-off analysis of performance life-cycle cost risk producibility and other system or program requirements.
Project is a part of FEB Bridge Application - Claims processing application - Multi System program.
Required Experience in On-Prem to AWS migration.
We are looking for Infrastructure System Engineer AWS Cloud - Designing present and future features of AWS System
Infrastructure AWS Architecture with extensive experience working on AWS Services
Involve in EC2 VM Instances in AWS - Need to understand recovery along with Identity Access Management IAM S3 Buckets Static IP DNS Public Private IPs
Experience with IBM MQ SFTP NFTP File Transfer protocol is mandatory
Large part of business will be on Webservice Calls/ APIs Calls
Monitoring experience with Dynatrace is required
Need to have understand of vendor network and 3rd party companies
8 Years work experience into Core IT Infrastructure required
AWS Principles and managing the infrastructure - Understanding of different data stages - understanding of network ALB S3
AWS Solutions Certification with previous implementation experience required
Certified AWS SysAdmin
Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations defines and designs system specifications and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Defines system supports requirements to include monitoring capacity staffing and patching/updating.
Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies.
Conducts independent technical investigations in systems design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5-7 years of IT experience of which at least 5 years must be in AWS Cloud Automation and Administration.
Must have strong hands-on knowledge of AWS platforms and services but not limited to VPC Subnets NACLs Security Groups EC2 S3 IAM ELBs Lambdas Cloud Watch CloudTrail EKS etc.
Must Have Hands on current Implementation and Production level experience AWS Cloud.
Hands-on experience with Automation and Infrastructure Provisioning is a must Our goal is to only provision infrastructure with code.
5 years of overall IT experience including hands-on Systems engineering background.
Minimum of 5 years AWS Cloud Administration experience.
Solid understanding of cloud computing principles architectures and services offered by AWS.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across different departments.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is Preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Installs tunes upgrades troubleshoots and maintains all computer systems relevant to the supported applications including all necessary tasks to perform operating system administration user account management disaster recovery strategy and networking configuration.
Develop and implement techniques to prevent system problems troubleshoots incidents to recover services and support the root cause analysis
Evaluates new systems by performing in-depth tests including end-user reviews. Researches software and related products to support recommendations and purchasing. Determines systems integration issues by evaluating components; developing and completing performance tests; analyzing test data; studying project requirements; analyzing user and potential user input; evaluating similar and related products and systems. Develop system automation and system integration of business processes.
Improves engineering job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
