Job Description

As a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner you will play a critical role as part of a cross-functional Agile Release Train (ART) team delivering high-impact digital tools and automation solutions for a major Randstad client in Philadelphia. You will leverage SAFe principles and agile values to deliver innovative solutions across operational domains such as Equipment and Yard planning/execution and Train Status dissemination.

This position requires close collaboration with Product Management Architecture and UX Design to define prioritize and validate solutions. You will serve as the primary voice of the customer ensuring that operational needs are transformed into valuable high-quality features that enhance both internal operations and customer experience—particularly within data-driven logistics or event-based digital platforms.

Responsibilities

Product Backlog Management

• Serve as the voice of the customer for the Agile team owning and refining the product backlog to align with strategic business objectives.
• Ensure backlog items are clearly defined prioritized and sequenced to maximize business value.

Vision and Requirements

• Collaborate with Product Management to translate strategic business goals into detailed features user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure user stories are clearly articulated for development and testing teams.

Prioritization and Value Delivery

• Use data-driven decision-making to prioritize features and user stories based on customer impact technical feasibility and business value.
• Continuously evaluate product value delivery and make adjustments to maintain focus on high-impact outcomes.

SAFe and Agile Leadership

• Act as a champion of SAFe principles promoting agile best practices across teams.
• Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning sprint reviews and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with business stakeholders technical leads and other Product Owners to maintain alignment on the product vision and roadmap.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.

Metrics and Analysis

• Define and monitor success metrics to evaluate product performance adoption and ROI.
• Use analytical insights to guide roadmap prioritization and future product enhancements.

Qualifications

Required:

• Certification/Experience:
  • SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification OR
  • Minimum of 3 years of Scaled Agile Product Ownership or Product Management experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an Agile Product Owner delivering software or digital products using SAFe or similar frameworks.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Tool Proficiency:
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Software Confluence and familiarity with FigJam Jira Align or AgilityHealth.
• Core Competencies:
  • Strong leadership communication and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Highly Desired Skills

• Direct experience with data-centric logistics operations or event-based digital systems.
• Proven success in automation and innovation initiatives within enterprise operations.
• Background in transportation logistics or large-scale operations systems is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of UX collaboration and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams.
