About the team and role
The Financial Planning & Strategy (FP&S) team provides financial insight and partners with other leaders across our organization to achieve our long-term goals. We seek to intentionally deploy our resources optimize our business performance and drive the highest-impact outcomes.

We are looking for a Senior Manager Financial Planning & Strategy - Sales to be the strategic finance leader for our Sales business. We focus on strategic and financial planning delivering actionable insights into Sales performance and optimizing resource allocation to accelerate growth. This person will play a pivotal role in how we scale our high-ACV Enterprise and high-velocity Mid-Market sales businesses. Youll work closely with Sales Leadership RevOps and Product. This role is highly visible including regular meetings and updates with our executive team.

What youll do

  • Ownership & Business Partnership: Serve as the lead strategic finance partner to our VP of Sales and their leads.
  • Strategy: Asses and define our existing and potential future strategic priorities. Quantitatively validate what could drive the highest revenue impact and ROI.
  • Strategic Planning: Drive a considerable portion of our long-range and annual planning processes. Primary focus areas include driving the quota-setting process AE capacity and tops-down pipeline targets. Build the strategic plan that positions us to accomplish our goals.
  • Investments: Build the business case to determine the best investment of our current resources and to make investment requests to our executive team. Develop frameworks for how we evaluate and track investment success. Define how we measure ROI and sales productivity.
  • Business Performance Management: Own recurring reporting and forecasting that provide a fundamental understanding of our Sales & Pipeline drivers and actionable insight into opportunities to improve business performance. Share your data-driven POV on business performance on a weekly basis with Leadership.
  • Insights: Proactively deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that inform go-to-market tactics product features & experiments and other cross-functional roadmaps.
  • Measurement: Define and evolve KPIs that best measure our business performance. Collaborate with our Data Analytics team to build predictive and automated analytics.
  • Team Management: You will have the support of 1 dotted-line Sr. Analyst.

What you bring

  • 8 years of progressive experience including 4 years covering sales and pipeline. Foundational experience in investment banking private equity or management consulting preferred. Experience with consumption-based business models.
  • Proven track record of driving business outcomes through data analytics and financial insights.
  • Demonstrated success driving sales strategy planning and performance management.
  • Expert-level modeling ability translating complex business drivers into clear frameworks.
  • Strong executive presence with proven ability to provide clarity and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Salesforce BI tools (ie. Looker) and SQL.
  • Experience in identifying business insights through analysis.
  • Have a hustler mindset. You take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and problems to tackle.
  • Thrive in an environment where you will be asked to own an ambiguous project that you have not done before.

On-target Earnings OR Base Salary range (San Francisco CA)

$192000 - $248600 USD

At Checkr we believe a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration drives innovation and encourages connection. Our hub locations are Denver CO San Francisco CA and Santiago Chile. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week. Starting January 2026 hub-based employees will be expected to work from the office 3 days per -office perks are provided such as lunch four times a week a commuter stipend and an abundance of snacks and beverages.
