Location: Silver Spring MD (Tech Hill area)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office 2 days remote)
Salary Range: $85000$142000

About the Role
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join its General Accounting team. This is a strategic position supporting the transition from PeopleSoft to Workday with a major system implementation scheduled for July 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in system management training technical support and data analytics/reporting for a large accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee configuration implementation and maintenance of financial information systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business requirements document workflows and design solutions
- Lead system testing user acceptance and quality assurance processes
- Establish KPIs and metrics to support business decisions and validate solutions
- Act as IT liaison for resolving system and reporting issues
- Develop training materials and support post-implementation activities
- Manage system access and reporting controls
- Gather analyze and visualize data to produce actionable reports and dashboards
- Ensure data integrity through quality control reconciliation and routine audits
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Information Systems IT Data Analytics or related field (required)
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience supporting financial systems and business analytics
- Significant hands-on experience with Workday (required)
- Strong understanding of the accounting cycle and experience with GL AP and Payroll functions
- Experience with system management troubleshooting and supporting transitions between ERP platforms

- The position reports to the Assistant Controller and works closely with IT Accounting and external consultants
- You will be supported by a team of 15 accounting professionals
- Immediate start preferred to support the upcoming Workday implementations
