Job Summary
This is a remote position.
- Mondays to Fridays 7:00 am to 5:00 pm NZ Time
- 40 hours per week
A growing construction company specializing in door solutions for commercial and residential buildings. They collaborate with architectural firms and contractors to deliver comprehensive door systems from initial estimation through final installation. The companys structure includes project consultants managing client relationships while being supported by a skilled internal estimation and operations team.
Youll be the analytical backbone of the sales and estimation process supporting the sales function of the business through precise plan take-offs and detailed client proposals. Your work ensures accurate costings timely quotes and clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
This position places you at the core of project success translating architectural plans into actionable proposals that drive profitability and client satisfaction.
- Quoting
- Complete take-offs of architectural plans including door quantities and types
- Prepare detailed proposals in the quoting system based on take-off data
- Apply correct margins according to internal guidelines
- Draft and finalise clarifications on proposals
- Summarize format and PDF proposals for client delivery
- Liaise with internal project consultants to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Additional Duties
- Support sales and business development teams with technical data
- Maintain accurate internal documentation for all proposals
- Participate in regular review and update sessions to improve estimation accuracy
Requirements
- Basic arithmetic and English
- Understanding of financial concepts and project costing
- Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience in the construction industry is beneficial
- Experience in telemarketing or client communication is an advantage
- Proficient with MS Office and online quoting systems
- Enjoy working with people; strong interpersonal communication
- Calm and professional in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Consistent accurate and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Position Development Expectations
Expected to competently prepare proposals independently within 2 weeks of starting
Performance Reviews / Meeting Expectations
Bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with management
Additional meetings as required to discuss performance and workload
Key Performance Actions
New Proposals Sent: Target $TBC per week
