Job Summary
Clinic Support Specialist - Part-time
St. Lukes Cataract & Laser Institute is looking to hire a part-time Clinic Support Specialist to join our team in our Tarpon Springs office. The Clinic Support Specialist is responsible for duties related to pulling and retrieving medical records for all clinic and surgery center procedures. The hours would be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The position requires a person with outstanding interpersonal skills including a pleasant demeanor positive attitude tact diplomacy patience and flexibility. The ideal candidate must also have the ability to interact effectively with patients doctors and staff.
Responsibilities
- Run daily reports and pull procedure charts
- Sort scan and index loose health record documents
- Perform quality control to ensure the integrity completeness and legibility of patient health records
- Schedule and organize all external chart audits
- Comply with federal HIPAA regulations and practice policies
- QAs surgery charts for scanning and indexing completeness
- Pick up sort and deliver inter-office mail and faxes
- Maintain an inventory of supplies
- Ensure that patients have timely access to their medical records
- Ensure all incoming records are delivered to the correct provider
What do we look for
- Two (2) years work experience in healthcare preferred
- Knowledgeable in HIPAA Privacy and Security and the Privacy Rule
- Organizational skills with ability to prioritize
- Efficiency in data entry filing spelling and telephone skills
- Ability to plan workflow and implement appropriate actions
- Conscientious regarding confidentiality
