Job Summary:
As an Accounting& Commodity TaxSpecialist you will play a key role in the Finance teamleveragingyourstrongaccountingknowledge excellent communicationskillsand understanding of the full-cycle accounting process. You willbe responsible forsupporting both routine and complex accounting activitiesincluding global commodity tax reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance and driving process improvements.Whether workingindependently orwithin a teamyou thrivein a dynamic and fast-paced environment contributing to an already exceptional Finance team.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Execute the month-end close process including reconciliation of G/L accounts and journal entry posting ensuring deadlines are met
- Prepare bank reconciliationsand verification of accountsregardingcash on hand and cash atbank.
- Preparereconcileand analyze various financial accountsreportsand supporting documentation asrequired.
- Support the accounts payable and expense functions as needed.
- Execute D2Ls global commodity tax compliance function including the preparation of tax returns ina timelyandaccuratemanner ensure related payments are made and liaise with external tax advisers as needed
- Support the proposal and global deal desk teams by serving as an in-house tax specialist in commodity tax matters as required to complete successful proposals and/or bids
- Respond to internal and external inquiries providinga positivecustomer service experience.
- Identifyand implement process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assistwith internal and external audits compiling required documentation.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc duties as assigned.

- Experienceassistingwith financial audits
- Experience in a global multi-currency organization is an asset
- Experience withaccounting software is considered an asset

- Post-secondary educationin business and finance/accounting
Location Information: This role is open to applicants within Ontario. Our ideal candidate is located in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and is able to work in a hybrid model at our global HQ (137 Glasgow Street Suite 560Kitchener).
