Job Summary
Exciting opportunity for a Retail Manager to join our Southern team in a newly created role!
About the role.
Join Elders in a key leadership role as Retail Manager - Southern Region. This newly created permanent full-time position supports Elders Rural Services regional structure driving commercial outcomes and exceptional service across South Australia Victoria and Tasmania.
As a Retail Manager you will lead the execution of our National Retail Strategy manage retail performance optimise inventory and pricing and empower branches to exceed sales targets. Your strategic leadership will champion our culture of safety collaboration and performance aligned with Elders Eight Point Plan and One Elders Values.
Key Responsibilities
As the Retail Manager in region you will:
- Deliver the National Retail Strategy in the Southern Region driving sales margin and growth.
- Manage key product categories such as crop protection fertiliser animal health seed and general merchandise.
- Achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales and margin targets.
- Build and sustain strong supplier partnerships
- Oversee procurement inventory and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to improve efficiency and GMROI.
- Support branches with local pricing compliance and retail performance initiatives.
- Lead motivate and develop high-performing teams across a geographically dispersed region .
- Foster a safety-first values-driven culture through proactive engagement communication and accountability.
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Significant experience in retail management distribution or agribusiness with strong commercial acumen and results orientation.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across regions.
- Skilled in sales strategy product management and interpreting category performance metrics.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and capiltalise on business growth opportunities.
- Analytical thinker confident in decision-making and solving complex problems.
- Committed to upholding compliance safety and quality standards across operations.
- Tertiary qualifications in business retail or agriculture (or equivalent experience) highly regarded.
