What is Aladdin Wealth Tech

BlackRocks Aladdin Wealth Tech organization (AWT) is at the center of cutting-edge technologies that serve financial advisors and investors. AWT consolidates BlackRocks varying products including Advisor Center Aladdin Risk for Wealth and SMA Business with marketing and sales teams -- with the goal of improving the user experience of its technology products and improving relationships with the financial advisors who use it.

Your Responsibilities

• To always be inquisitive enthusiastic and open to quickly learning the business and our systems.

• Provide strategic leadership to develop high quality frontend experience.

• Advocate best practices in frontend engineers across AWT India elevating the quality of code being produced.

• Work on AWT FE platform initiatives to improve the user experience and maintainability of the product.

• Passion for code quality code reusability and modularity.

• Lead the engineering team across multiple high-visibility tech/business initiatives.

• Grow your technical knowledge and leadership skills to become one of the most productive technology teams at BlackRock; be an inspiring leader across the entire engineering organization

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

• Be a culture carrier within AWT Mumbai contributing to an inclusive culture.

• Provide horizontal leadership across AWT Mumbai helping connect the dots.
  

Ideally you should have

• 12 years of combined enterprise leadership and technical experience in Financial Services or Technology running front end engineering teams.

• Expertise in React Js and relevant front-end frameworks architecting and building high scale user experiences.

• Passion for high-quality front-end code modular architecture and code reusability.

• Ability to drive large scale redesign projects for front end applications.

• In depth understanding of micro frontend applications.

• Several years worth of experience in running Agile teams and can show your passion to improve yourself and your squads

• Successful deliveries of technology focused products through the entire product development lifecycle.

• Showcase high-level designs & blueprints along with the business value that these have achieved in your experience

• Strong communication presentation (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with direct experience of managing a diverse team of people.

• Motivated to work in a highly professional environment where best-practices and attention to detail are highly valued and security and stability are built into everything you do.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is advantageous.

• Goal setting in alignment with Business Technology and BlackRock goals.

• An interest in finance and technology backed by real-work experience.

• A desire to work with your colleagues to build the best software you can move quickly and demonstrate excellence.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Understanding of backend technologies APIs is a must.

• Friendly positive and can-do attitude.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRocks hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees while supporting flexibility for all.
