Job Summary

Job Description:

The Segment Industrial Engineer will provide analysis and support for the Mars Wrigley Business under the direction of the Segment IE Manager to drive portfolio growth and effective cost agendas.

The position will identify and evaluate financial opportunities and recommend solutions that will drive overall pipeline effectiveness and continuous improvement. The position will also drive timely implementation of these and other initiatives at plants and across segment production lines.

*This role is hybrid and expected to be onsite in Newark at least two-three times a week*

What are we looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

4 years of related work experience (Operations Line Manager Site Industrial Engineer Project Engineer Logistics Manager Supply Chain Management)
An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business Management Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering required or significant equivalent experience
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

5-7 years of related work experience (Operations Line Manager Site Industrial Engineer Project Engineer Logistics Manager Supply Chain Management)
MBA or advanced degree preferred

What will be your key responsibilities

Freedom To Operation: Support supply solutions development and execution within External Manufacturing network to deliver FTO agenda
Segment Growth/Profit Strategy (1-5 Year Horizon) Identify and recommend methods to enable growth
Capital Management. Author submit and gain approval for capital investment projects related to capacity and/or innovation activities
Innovation Management: Develop evaluate and recommend optimal supply solutions (feasibility and financial viability) for new market activities affecting the segment in close cooperation with the site IEs
Monitor performance and execution of approved activities.
Coordinate with plants and supply planning to address short term supply risks
Provide Project Engineers with target line metrics for capital installations and assist plants in developing and monitoring project startup curves
Provide input to Regional and Global Reports
In conjunction with Finance and Procurement identify and contribute to the execution of COGS activities

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skills and total compensation package for this position will include variable pay medical and dental benefits participation in 401k plan and paid time off of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
