Job Summary

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district.

The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly efficient and professional manner:

  • Assists students with a patient and friendly attitude and provide oral support in a non-judgmental non-reactive manner.
  • Assists instructional personnel with the development ofa variety of instructional materials.
  • Assists students in a group or an individual basis with specific instructional tasks and or specific student goals for the purpose of accommodating their developementand growth.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.
  • Must read write and speak Spanish. May provide written and oral translations as needed.

DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • WORK SITE:Maie Ellis Elementary
  • WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 6.0 hours/day 5 days/week 8:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
  • BENEFITS: Benefit package includes Health and Welfare paid sick leave vacation and holidays (currently observing 14 paid holidays a year).
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:Equivalent to the completionof the twelfth grade; and either an Associates Degree of Arts (AA) or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass the FUESD proficiency test for this classification; experience workingwith people of various cultures; one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable preferably including children with special needs supplemented by courses in atypical students psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
  • Maintain CPR and first aid certification as provided by the District.
  • Within the probationary period paraprofessionals will be expected to participate in District -wide training /supervision and receive a District Certificate of Competence.
