We are building a strong Privacy function and we need a motivated detail-oriented Junior Privacy Offer to join us.

This role is a dynamic mix of essential administrative support and high-impact privacy work offering a clear career trajectory into a specialist role. You will be instrumental in enhancing our privacy compliance and building a culture of Digital Trust.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): Actively support and contribute to the performance of PIAs for new and existing projects processes and technologies.
- Policy & Governance Support: Assist in drafting developing and updating core privacy policies standards guidelines and procedures.
- Administrative & Team Support: Provide crucial administrative support to the Privacy Lead and the team including managing documentation scheduling meetings and maintaining privacy registers (e.g. PIA and incident logs).
- Risk & Incident Management: Help manage and mitigate privacy complaints incidents and general privacy risk contributing to the incident response process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the business including Legal Cyber Security Digital Product teams and Data & AI teams to provide privacy advice (including Privacy by Design principles and contractual reviews).
- Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the implementation of key strategic projects including Responsible Data Use programs Privacy Training/Education sessions and the advancement of Digital Trust.
- Legal & Regulatory Insight: Stay informed on developments in Australian data privacy laws and emerging global trends translating them into practical advice for the business.

We are looking for a driven individual with a proactive commercial approach to problem-solving. This is an excellent role for someone with foundational legal/compliance experience or a keen interest to pivot into this space.
- Experience/Interest: 1-2 years experience in a legal ideally with exposure to privacy or technology/commercial law within a large organisation law firm or consulting environment or a strong demonstrable interest in gaining experience in the privacy field.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to conduct research analysis and draft succinct practical and accurate advice using a risk-based approach.
- Stakeholder Management: A knack for building strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders across multiple business units.
- Foundational Knowledge: A broad understanding of or keen interest in data analytics concepts and the privacy issues surrounding emerging technologies (like AI).
