We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal ELV Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru India. As a key technical leader in our organization you will be responsible for overseeing the design implementation and management of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for large-scale building projects.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex ELV systems including building automation fire alarm security telecommunications and audio-visual systems
- Manage and mentor a team of ELV engineers providing technical guidance and ensuring project success
- Develop and maintain project schedules budgets and resource allocations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects contractors and clients to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems
- Review and approve technical documentation including drawings specifications and reports
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and constraints
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in ELV systems
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in ELV systems
- Participate in business development activities and contribute to proposal preparation
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Instrumentation Engineering Communication Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- 10 years of experience in ELV systems engineering with a proven track record of successful large-scale projects
- Strong expertise in building automation fire alarm security telecommunications and audio-visual systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software and experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
- In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients team members and stakeholders
- Relevant certifications such as RCDD CTS or NICET are highly desirable
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
