Job Summary
Arηs Group Part of Accenture is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.
Context
The position is part of a team delivering secure high-quality information systems and IT services to support organizational objectives. The team works closely with various stakeholders to develop maintain and enhance digital solutions that handle sensitive data and complex transactions. The environment is dynamic collaborative and focused on continuous improvement and alignment with broader digital transformation initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Architecture and design for new information systems.
- Review and refactoring of existing system architectures.
- Design and development of architecture components and building blocks including cloud solutions.
- Analysis and integration of different information systems.
- Development and maintenance of software applications and components.
- Data analysis and data modelling.
- Coordination of technical architecture implementation.
- Acting as a technical interface between project leaders and developers.
- Producing software architecture documentation.
- Participating in technical working groups progress meetings and user meetings.
- Assisting with testing analysis technical documentation deployment evaluation and reporting.
- Reviewing technical documentation including code and security documents.
- Troubleshooting technical issues in all environments including production priority issues.
- Building and deploying new releases including database updates.
- Configuring software in local and managed environments.
- Creating designs and blueprints for cloud architecture.
- Reviewing and migrating existing systems to the cloud.
Qualifications :
Your Profile
- Fluency in English both spoken and written.
- Ability to integrate into an international/multicultural environment.
- Rapid self-starting capability and experience working in teams.
- Ability to work on multiple large projects in a multicultural setting.
- Excellent team player.
- High degree of discretion and integrity as the role involves handling personal and sensitive data.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
- Ability to participate in technical meetings.
Technical Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in software development with Java EE technologies.
- At least 3 years of experience in architecture for web information systems.
- At least 1 year of experience in DevOps technologies (e.g. Maven GitLab CI/CD).
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework JPA Hibernate and Oracle SQL.
- Good knowledge of front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g. Angular 7).
- Good knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g. jUnit Selenium TestNG).
- Good knowledge of containerization (Docker).
- Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns.
- Good knowledge of microservices and cloud architecture.
- Good knowledge of application design and modelling tools.
- Good knowledge of relational DBMS.
- Good knowledge of interoperability technologies (web services message-oriented middleware service-oriented bus event architecture).
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture.
- Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies in application architecture and design.
- Ability to give business and technical presentations.
- Ability to apply high-quality standards.
Certifications (Optional)
- Agile development methodology certificates (e.g. Scrum Master SAFE).
- Angular-related certificates.
