THE ROLE

Join the Fleet Insights Team to design and build large-scale resilient systems that transform billions of telemetry and log events into actionable intelligence. Youll operate at the intersection of cloud-scale engineering and data science driving the technical direction for services that detect classify and automate responses to customer-impacting issues. This high-leverage role directly impacts Pures global fleet reliability and support model requiring close collaboration with Platform Support and Product teams.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Architect and implement robust backend services for high-volume ingestion extraction and real-time classification of global telemetry logs.

• Design build and optimize intelligent data pipelines and distributed systems (using technologies like AWS SQS Redis and S3) to power automated Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and fleet intelligence.

• Drive operational excellence by establishing and monitoring key SLOs implementing robust observability (Datadog/PagerDuty) and continuously improving the reliability and cost-efficiency of production systems.

• Own the technical direction for complex features mentor engineers on best practices and lead the creation of high-quality design documentation that shapes the teams long-term architecture.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Expert-level proficiency in building and operating large-scale backend services using Python Go or Java in a production environment.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including service-oriented architecture asynchronous workflows and failure domain management.

• Proven experience in data engineering specifically building and optimizing log analytics systems or high-volume data pipelines using cloud-native tools (e.g. AWS services Kafka or equivalent).

• Advanced data modeling and optimization skills for both SQL and NoSQL database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL Snowflake) focused on performance and scalable storage.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive complex cross-functional technical initiatives from concept through deployment with high autonomy.

• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.
