Description
The Senior Educational Specialist for Accreditation Compliance and Curriculum plays a critical role in supporting the School of Medicines accreditation and curriculum operations. This position works closely alongside the Dean of Medical Education and the LCME faculty member to ensure the smooth execution of accreditation curriculum and administrative processes. The coordinator manages key committees oversees curriculum inventory and ensures compliance with accreditation standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs implements and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
- Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the programs continued success and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
- Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational statistical and financial reports are accurate and factual and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
- Designs training programs and materials conducts training sessions and represents the program at various conferences meetings or seminars.
- May plan administer or monitor the programs budget and/or grants and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
- May develop fundraising programs including researching and identifying funding sources and writing and submitting grant proposals.
- Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
- Maintains complete and accurate program records.
- May serve on or chair various University committees.
- May supervise program staff interns and/or volunteers.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.

- Coordinate logistics and documentation for ECC and related subcommittees.
- Maintain dashboards SharePoint sites and membership rosters.
Curriculum Inventory Coordination
- Oversee and manage the MD curriculum inventory process.
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
Accreditation Support
- Design implement and coordinate operational aspects of the LCME accreditation process.
- Monitor compliance data management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accreditation dashboards and documentation.
- Develop and maintain accreditation calendars and deadlines.
- Provide committee support for LCME Working Group and Executive Committee.
- Conduct training sessions on accreditation and data management software.
- Represent the Medical Education program at conferences and seminars.
Self-Study and Ongoing LCME Coordination
- Coordinate logistics and documentation for LCME Self-Study Task Force Survey Visit and Core Accreditation Team (LCAT).
- Maintain dashboards SharePoint sites and membership rosters for LCME Executive and Working Groups.
- Train staff subcommittee members and ensure continuity across accreditation cycles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelors degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience or an equivalent combination of experience education and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education administration preferably in medical education or accreditation.
- Familiarity with LCME accreditation standards and processes.
- Strong organizational communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint and data management systems.
- Experience with budget administration and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Experience coordinating complex committees and working groups.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
