Intern for Field Sales & Service within the Chemical Analysis Division

Location: Remote (U.S. based with ride-along opportunities) open to relocation

Program Type: Internship (1012 weeks Summer 2026)

Eligibility requirement: Candidates must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.

Youll nurture the skills relationships and knowledge essential for building a long-term career in the fieldwhether your journey leads to Sales Field Service Engineering or both.

Observe seasoned Sales Representatives and Field Service Engineers in authentic work environments to acquire direct understanding of daily field operations.

Grasp the collaboration between Sales and Field Service teams to provide a smooth customer-centric experience that fosters value and innovation.

  • Manufacturing Site Visit

Join a supervised tour of our manufacturing facilities to observe our operations explore production areas and learn about the creation construction and delivery of our Chemical Analysis Division products.

  • Skills Development

Participate in trainings on:

Field service fundamentals & diagnostics

1. Selling techniques & CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools such as .

Guidelines for customer engagement

1. Managing blocking issues and technical systems

Post-Internship Path

After graduation we aim to move interns to junior-level full-time positions in Sales or Field Service with essential knowledge and hands-on experience for career success. Flexibility and willingness to relocate in the U.S. as needed are essential.

Education & Eligibility

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Engineering Chemistry Biomedical or a related technical or scientific field with equivalent experience considered.
  • Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
  • Valid U.S. drivers license
  • Willingness to relocate upon hire to support open territories

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or client-facing experience
  • Familiarity with technical drawings engineering terminology or scientific instrumentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technical tools
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills emotional intelligence and coachability
  • Self-motivated adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate internships offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $28.75 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines).

To qualify applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Thermo Fisher does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1 J-1 H-1 OPT and CPT Visas for the purpose of acquiring practical experience.
