Job Summary
The Opportunity:
Gloo is growing fast and accurate dependable billing and collections are at the heart of that growth. The Billing & A/R Specialist will be a key player on our Finance & Accounting team - responsible for keeping our order-to-cash engine running smoothly and ensuring every contract invoice and payment reflects Gloos professionalism and excellence.
This is an exciting role for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning a process from start to finish - entering contracts issuing invoices and ensuring payments are applied and reconciled accurately. Youll collaborate closely with Sales Customer Success and Accounting to make sure the entire customer experience - from agreement to cash - is seamless.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Contract Administration: Review enter and maintain customer contracts renewals amendments and terminations in Sage Intacct and related systems; validate pricing schedules and billing terms per approved contract documentation and 606 analyses prepared by Accounting.
- Billing Operations: Generate and send accurate timely invoices across subscription milestone and usage models; troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve billing inquiries with Sales and Customer Success.
- Accounts Receivable Ownership: Monitor and reconcile the A/R subledger and GL; apply cash promptly; run a professional consistent collections cadence; analyze aging and partner internally to reduce DSO.
- Payment Gateways & Methods: Monitor Stripe/Braintree and other methods; minimize failures expired cards and disputes; support integration health and reconciliation; surface fee/flow optimizations.
- Controls Documentation & Close Support: Maintain clean audit trails; build/update SOPs for continuity; prepare schedules/recons for internal/external audit; support a smooth month-end close.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: Coordinate with Sales Rev Ops Accounting and Delivery to keep contract data billing and collections aligned and predictable.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors in Accounting Finance or related field
- 35 years in billing A/R or accounting operations (SaaS or multi-entity experience a plus)
- Hands-on ERP experience; Sage Intacct strongly preferred; exposure to Salesforce Ramp Planful helpful
- Advanced Excel (LOOKUP/XLOOKUP pivots multi-sheet reconciliations)
- Meticulous organized and deadline-reliable; able to run a process day-in/day-out while improving it pragmatically
- High EQ; presents professionally with customers and internal stakeholders; clear written and verbal communicator
- You resonate with Gloos purpose and like serving teams that serve others
Bonus points for:
- Familiarity with ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
- Experience with payment environments or gateways (Stripe Braintree etc.)
- Experience from an accounting firm background (CPA not required)

Compensation: $65000 - 80000
